Nokia opens up pre-release version of forthcoming games platform to N81 owners

>Nokia has released information on its N-Gage web site explaining how users of its N81 handset can download the much-awaited N-Gage mobile games platform for beta testing.

The software platform, which will link mobile gamers with multiplayer and social elements in much the same way that Xbox Live does for console gamers, is nearing completion.

The final stage before full-scale deployment to a wider range of Nokia high-end handsets is to increase the user base, a common method used to establish the stability of online multiplayer games.

Currently the precise handsets that are supported for the pre-release software are the Nokia N81 and N 81 8GB, connected via service plans that support GPRS or with access to a wireless network - although Chinese editions of the handset are currently incompatible.

Games available to sample during the beta test include Creatures of the Deep, Space Impact: Kappa Base, Block Breaker Deluxe and System Rush Evolution, with a further 13 titles - including FIFA 08, Brothers in Arms and The Sims: Pets - available after full launch.

Cooperation between mobile games and football

A company working on mobile games has signed an exclusive deal with Barclays Premiership football club Manchester United to develop and publish associated mobile games globally.

The deal, thought to be the biggest in the history of the Indian games business, will span three years and kicks off this year with six titles before the end of 2008, the first of which will be entitled Manchester United Word It!

The club's director of media said of the deal: "We believe that this relationship will allow us to offer market leading mobile games to our global fan base and will enhance Manchester United's portfolio of mobile products and services."Manager Sir Alex Ferguson added: "Manchester United, all of us, are delighted in our new arrangement .I think it's a fantastic venture. And to all our fans all over the world it's an opportunity to get yourselves involved in it."

All of the titles planned will be available globally, through local operators.

USA and UK head the list of global mobile games companies

New data from The Multimedia Research Consultancy shows that more mobile games companies are remaining in business for longer periods of time.

The extensive global survey shows that around 53 per cent of mobile games companies have now been trading for at least five years, with almost 20 per cent lasting more than seven years.

This is despite a slow-down in the number of new entrants into the market - while 2003 saw the single biggest growth in number of businesses with 451 entrants, last year's figure was just 78 in comparison.

While that slow-down, combined with continuing consolidation in the industry, has an effect, the total number of businesses operating was just under 1900 at the end of 2007.

Of that figure the USA has by far and away the most companies by territory, with 322, followed by the UK with 182, China (including Hong Kong) with 140 and South Korea with 134.

In total mobile games companies now trade in 93 countries across the world.

Various of picture styles which can satisfy you who are always captious.

Euro-American cartoon which is full of armor-clad style.

There were thousands of kilometers of ice desert with rare penguins under the plane. According to the aerial photography, Sky City soared above the ice mountains at the height of one kilometer. Setting down to it from the air was too dangerous, so Stirlitz decided to approach it from the land. Mountains were full of strange creatures busy with their strange activity, but it was his usual job to deal with such enemies. Well, may be the job was a little bit unusual, this time? Many hours later, standing in fritted, gnawed and acid stained space-suit on the top of ice mountain, and admiring the view of colossal crater with fragments of Sky City, Stirlitz remembered how naive he was?

An Euro-American cartoon pictures, “Cats in Love” will remind you of Grimm's Fairy Tales

The male cat is having a tough time. He is sooooo in love with the little tabby, and he would do anything to prove to her how strong his love is. Unfortunately she does not exactly make it easy for him. Help the small cat to capture as many hearts as possible in the specified time, and skilfully set the bonus elements to work; but be on your guard against the stinking fish-bones or soap bubbles because they contain nothing but hot air.

The millionaire map plus Japanese cartoon style, “Back to Pingutopia 2” will let you addicted.

My name is Chuck. I was born in Pingutopia. You don’t know where is it? You drive in Antarctica, then you should turn to the right, pass a little along the big iceberg, turn to the right once again behind it, leave the pack ice on the left and you are in our great country. We did not even imagine before, that there is the "External world". But now I live in some pinfold, eat a dead fish, and to make matters worse, noisy color penguins gawk at me all the day, but that is not most awful… A daughter of director of this pinfold comes to me; she is the most awful color penguin in the world. I was told about her in confidence: they call her Liki, she has tortured a macaque from Africa, a kangaroo from Australia, and now my turn came… Rescue me! I wanna go home to Pingutopia!!!

Euro-American Realistic picture style with metal feeling! “MazenessII”, Star War in your mobile phone!

Deserving sequel of a splendid double maze puzzle. The game became even more fascinating with appearance of new elements - one turn holders, teleports and crashed tiles. The goal of the game is rather simple - you need to bring all the balls (now up to 4 per level!) to their goals at the same time with help of barriers and holders. In spite of seeming simplicity it's not that easy. The difficulty of 44 levels is growing little by little from level to level.
